The social media statistics from the Tall Ships Races week (from Monday 17 July to Sunday 23 July) are available and are looking excellent.

The Facebook page Tall Ships Races Turku 2017 had more than 20 000 likes during the event and the posts on the page reached nearly 800 000 Facebook users during the week.

In addition to Finnish people, the posts widely reached international audiences in the neighbouring countries, as was expected, but also elsewhere - even in the United States.

The most popular contents included the iconic overview photos (view of the River Aura from Hirvensalo, Parade of Sails, photos of the sunrise in Utö) and videos (video compilation from Thursday and Saturday, timelapse of the arrival of ships, fireworks). Also live broadcasts had a good number of viewers, the most popular being the Crew Parade with more than 30 000 viewers.
In addition to the Tall Ships Races page,  the posts on the City of Turku Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels reached tens of thousands of users.
